At the most recent Trenton Volunteer Fire Department Blueberry Pancake-French Toast Breakfast on July 15th an anonymous donor asked Chief Heckman what the department needed. After discussion this  individual made a donation of $6,000 to Trenton Volunteer Fire Department for the future purchase of a thermal imaging camera

This is the 30th year that the Trenton Volunteer Fire Department has served their popular breakfasts. The remaining 2 this year will be served on

August 20 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.
October 29, Hunter's Breakfast 5 a.m. to 10 a.m.

All the proceeds from the breakfasts go to the equipment fund and other items that the Trenton Volunteer Fire Department needs to purchase. All the pancakes and the public's participation have helped fund thermal cameras and even a new fire truck without impacting the tax rate!

Thermal cameras are essential equipment for fire departments as it allows them to see through walls and determine if there are any hot spots still active after a fire is extinguished.
