AS of 4 PM on Monday, October 30th, there were 82,603 Emera Maine customers without power with 46,459 customers in Penobscot County and 25,434 customer in Hancock County.

Emera Maine is advising that "If you do not have power at this time, it is prudent to prepare to remain without service through the evening or longer. It will take days to restore service to all Emera Maine customers. However, all available crews are working on the system, and additional external crews have been brought in to assist with restoration efforts."

If you pass by a gas station that has power, it's a good idea to top off your vehicle. Be sure to charge your phones if possible.

You can check the latest live Outage and Restoration Map. There have been issues with the page loading, but be patient as there are so many people visiting the page.

Remember do no go near a downed power line. Don't drive over one! Also if you are using a generator, be sure that it is properly ventilated and installed as you don't want to backfeed the line and risk electrocuting someone!
