Halloween is Sunday, October 31st, and there will be lots of ghouls and goblins out and about. We have compiled a list of Trunk and Treat locations where families can go as well as Haunted House/Terror Trail locations. We encourage everyone to wear masks around others and to sanitize your hands throughout the day/evening! Happy Halloween!

Trunk or Treat

Saturday October 23

Bucksport

  • Bucksport YMCA - 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. - Held at the Bucksport Town Office 50 Main Street. Donations of personal care items/cleaning products accepted for the Bucksport Community Concerns Pantry.

Friday October 29

Bar Harbor

  • The MDI YMCA located at 21 Park Street in Bar Harbor is holding it's 1st Annual Trunk or Treat, Friday night, October 29th from 5:30 -7 p.m. There will be a costume contest, fun games and prizes in addition to the candy for the kids!

  • Birch Bay Village 4:30 - 6 p.m.. 25 Village Inn Road. Birch Bay Village presents the Trail of Treats. Well spaced  tables with pre-packaged treats will be situated outside on a paved pathway around the Birch Bay Inn. Trick-or-treaters will travel in 1 direction and social distancing is encouraged Parking is available and all community members are welcome (This was originally on October 31st but moved to the 29th on Wednesday October 27)

Saturday October 30

Mount Desert

  • Camp Beech Cliff 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. 264 Beech Hill Road. A physically distanced and managed trick or treating experience for our Covid aware times. Over a dozen local organizations and non-profits will set up stations for a trick or treating experience like no other.  Click this link to reserve a time slot for your group. Arrive for your reserved time, check in, then walk the trail of treats until your haul gets too heavy to carry!

Sunday October 31

Bass Harbor

  • Seaside Dairy Bar and Lobster Pound 5 p.m. -7 p.m. 42 Tremont Road

Bernard

  • Thurston's Lobster Pound - 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. 8 Thurston Road . Please follow the signs for parking. Entrance will be opposite the normal traffic pattern

Blue Hill

  • Blue Hill YMCA - 2p.m. - 5 p.m.  32 Mines Hill Road, Blue Hill. They are
    collecting personal care items and cleaning supplies for Tree of Life Food Pantry, Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry and Bucksport Community Concerns.
    Suggested entry fee is donated items for these local pantries

Brooksville

  • Brooksville Elementary School 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. Trunks still wanted

Eastbrook

  • Eastbrook Community Building Parking Lot 4:30 p.m - 6 p.m

Ellsworth

  • Downeast Family YMCA 3 p.m - 5 p.m. - 238 State Street. They are
    collecting personal care items and cleaning supplies for Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry. Suggested entry fee is donated items for these local pantries. Originally scheduled for Saturday the 30th from 5 to 7 p.m. this has been moved to Sunday, because of the forecast
  • Disconnected Tattoo and Art Company - 5 to 8:00 p.m. Maine Coast Mall, 225 High Street

Hancock

  • Ruth and Wimpy's Restaurant 4 p.m - 6 pm 792 US Highway 1

Mount Desert

The Neighborhood House in Northeast Harbor and the Mount Desert Chamber of Commerce are combining to bring trick or treating to you via the 2021 Halloween Treat Truck! For the route and times and more information click HERE

Southwest Harbor

  • Southwest Foodmart - 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. The Foodmart is back with their annual Trunk or Treat extravaganza! This has been moved to the Southwest Harbor Fire Department because of the anticipated rain
  •  Southwest Harbor Congregational Church 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. on  29 High Road

Trenton

  • Trenton Fire Department 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. Fire department members will be at the station on Halloween night  for trick or treaters.

Terror Trail

Ellsworth

  • The Grand and Woodlawn have teamed up for the Terror Trail - Something Wicked This Way Comes Thursday October 28th - Saturday October 30 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Masks are encouraged but not required. Tickets need to be purchased in advance. and are $8.00 per person. The Sunday October 31st event has been canceled because of the forecast. Tickets purchased for Sunday the 31st will be honored anytime October 28-30
