
15 High Schools Earn $40,350 Through First Hoop Program
20 years ago First National Bank launched their First Hoop Program. Since then, the bank has donated $384,400 to participating high schools.
The First donates $50.00 to each school for each home varsity basketball game. $50 is added if the home team scores the 1st basket of the game. Finally $50 is added if a randomly selected fan makes a free throw at halftime.
For the 2024-25 season First National Bank donated a total sum of $40,350 to the 15 teams participating
Tony McKim the President and CEO of First National Bank said
“As we celebrate 20 years of First Hoop, I am incredibly appreciative of the positive feedback about this program we continue to receive from school administrators, employees and fans. I want to thank our dedicated employees who volunteer their time at these games. Their hard work and commitment have allowed First Hoop to make a truly meaningful impact on high school athletics.”
