Trojans Shutout Crusaders 3-0

The MDI Girl's Soccer Team improved to 9-3 on the season, as the Trojans shutout the John Bapst Crusaders 3-0 in Bar Harbor on Tuesday, October 13th.

Ally Bender scored what would turn out to be the game winner with 29:05 left in the 1st Half, as she tucked in a rebound near post.

Ellie Bridgers scored the 2nd goal of the game, as she volleyed Opal Curless' cross into the back of the net from 15 yards out.

Five minutes later, senior Opal Curless scored from 20 yards out. to make the final score 3-0.

MDI goalkeeper Keely McConomy stopped 9 of 11 shots while John Bapst goalkeeper Kayla Massey stopped 7 of 15 shots.

MDI now 9-3 plays host to Hermon on Thursday, October 15th at 6 PM. Hermon is 10-0-2 on the season.

John Bapst, 6-6 on the season plays host to Ellsworth on Thursday, October 15th at 4 PM at the University of Maine
