It was a night of firsts as the MDI Trojans shutout the John Bapst Crusaders 3-0 in Bar Harbor on Wednesday October 14th.

Nick Ressel scored his first varsity goal of his career, an unassisted goal which would in fact prove to be the game winner for MDI.

Zach Charette scored the second goal of the game, with an assist from Ryan Bender.

The 3rd goal of the game came at the feet of Rye Murray with an assist from Charette.

In goal, Andrew Jewett recorded his first varsity shutout, playing 80 minutes in goal for the Trojans.

MDI, now 7-4-1 is in 5th place in the latest Heal Point Standings. The Trojans play host to Hermon on Saturday, October 17th at 11 AM in the last regular season game at home for the seniors. The Trojans finish the regular season on Tuesday, October 20th at Ellsworth at 6 PM.

John Bapst is 2-8-3 and in 13th place in the Heal Point Standings (the top 12 play in the playoffs). The Crusaders have 1 game remaining in the regular season, at the University of Maine on Tuesday October 20th against Old Town at 4 PM.
