MDI Volleyball Defeats WA 3-1

The MDI Trojans defeated Washington Academy 3-1 on Friday night, September 20th in a match played at Bernard Parady Gymnasium in Bar Harbor by the score of 25-16, 25-19, 18-25 and 25-13. With the win, MDI improves to a perfect 5-0, while Washington Academy falls to 3-1 on the season.

Earlier in the afternoon, the MDI JV squad defeated Washington Academy 3-0.

Coach Corey's Analysis

MDI faced an always tough WA squad tonight and came away with their 5^th win.  The girls played much better tonight; passing and serving were much improved.  We are attacking the ball more and still have work to do, but it’s getting there.  We need to keep pushing in transition and converting out of system plays into kills.  We face our toughest challenge so far this season on Friday, when we face Greely on the road.  That will be a real test for us and we have a lot of work to do before then.
