MDI Girls Soccer 12 GSA 1

The MDI Girls Soccer Team routed George Steven's Academy by the score of 12-1 in Bar Harbor on Wednesday September 17th.

Scoring for MDI were Opal Curless with 5 goals, Darcy Kanu with 3 goals and then 1 goal each from Ally Bender, Paige Mason, Emma Fernald and Natalie Klave.

Alyssa Chesney scored the lone goal for the Eagles.

Megan Nowland was in goal for George Steven's Academy and recored 14 saves on 26 shots. Keely McConomy was in goal for the Trojans, and recorded 5 saves on 6 shots.

MDI improves to 3-1 on the season and next play at Hermon on Wednesday September 24th at 6:30 PM. George Steven's Academy is now 3-2 and play host to Sumner on Friday September 19th at 4 PM.
