75 years ago today, November 18th, my father with his family emigrated to the United States and arrived from Hungary. Along with my father Charles, were his brother, Gabe, and their father George and mother Gabrielle.
Trees already weak from the October 30th storm are being tested on Friday, November 10th, as winds come from the Northwest, blowing 20 to 30 miles per hour with gusts up to 55 miles per hour. Consequently, there are power outages in the Emera Maine service area.

But current recipients of Food Supplement benefits through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) may be able to get help with food lost following this week's storm.
