The MDI Girl's Soccer team avenged their early season loss to the Presque Isle Wildcats in Presque Isle (2-1 on September 13th) defeating the Presque Isle team 6-2 in Bar Harbor on Saturday, October 11th.

MDI scored the first two goals in the first 8 minutes with goals by Opal Curless and Darcy Kanu respectively.

Presque Isle  answered with a goal by Erin Ackerson one minute later and another by Taylor Williams two minutes after that.

MDI scored the next four goals with 3 more from Curless and one from Paige Mason.  Curless ended up with 4 goals in the game.

Keely McConomy played goal for the Trojans and saved 8 of 14 shots while Jillian Flynn was in net for the Wildcats and saved 14 of 29 shots.

With the victory, MDI improves to 8-2 on the season. The Trojans have 4 games remaining in the season, all at home. They play host to John Bapst Tuesday, October 14th at 4 PM, Old Town on Thursday, October 16th at 6 PM, Hermon on Saturday, October 18th at 11 AM and Ellsworth on Monday, October 20th at 6 PM.

Presque Isle falls to 9-2. The Wildcats have 3 games remaining in the season. They play host to Old Town on Columbus Day, Monday, October 13th at 11 AM, then at Caribou on Wednesday, October 15th at 7 PM before finishing the season at John Bapst on Saturday, October 18th at 11 AM.
