One of the most exciting games I have broadcast was the MDI Boys Basketball Team winning their 1st ever State Championship this past March! One of the reasons that the Trojans are so good year after year is because of the work that the Acadian Youth Sports Program does in building the foundation for future teams and teaching the fundamentals and the "Trojan Way".

This year's Future Trojans Basketball Camp will take place July 10-14 at MDI High School. There are two sessions each day, Grades 2-5 will meet daily from 9AM - 11AM and grades 6-9 will meet daily from 12Noon-3PM. Cost for the Grades 2-5 session is $85.00 per child and the cost to attend the Grade 6-9 session is $115.00 per child.

Both sessions are co-ed, with the children being separated for Boys and Girls games.

Meghan Phelps, a 2011 graduate from MDI High School, a 1000 point scorer and now an Assistant Coach for the Women's Basketball Team at Bowdoin College will be in charge of the Morning Girl's Session!

High School Players from the current MDI Boy's and Girl's Basketball Teams will be helping and coaching during the afternoon sessions, eager to give back and help develop the Future Trojans!
