The Ellsworth Eagles defeated John Bapst 5-2 in 8 innings on Tuesday, May 12th to improve to 3-4 on the season.

Charlie Libby pitched a complete game for Ellsworth, allowing 2 runs, on 6 hits. He walked 3 and struck out 6.

Colin Bechtel pitched a complete game for Hermon, taking the loss, striking out 2 and walking 5. He allowed 5 hits.

Griffin Nightengale drove in the winning runs in the top of the 8th inning with a single. Nightengale finished 1-3. Nicholas Bagley was 1-3, Zack McGraw was 1-1, Austin Baron was 1-2,  and Avery Anderson was 2-4 with a double.

For John Bapst, Harrison Dieuveuil was 2-4 with a RBI, Colin Bechtel was 1-4, Spencer Baron was 1-2, T. Frickett was 1-3, A. Jones was 1-3.

Ellsworth is now 3-4 and plays host to Hermon on Thursday, May 14th at 4:30 PM and then hosts Caribou in a doubleheader on Saturday May 16th.

John Bapst is now 3-6 and plays a doubleheader at Old Town on Saturday, May 16th
