Winter Weather Advisory Tonight

There's a Winter Weather Advisory for Coastal Hancock and Coastal Washington Counties including Ellsworth, Bar Harbor, Blue Hill, Machias and Cherryfield from tonight (Saturday, January 7th) at 4 PM through tomorrow morning (Sunday, January 8th) at 4 AM.

The forecast from the National Weather Service in Caribou calls for 3 to 5 inches of snow. Northerly winds 15-20 miles per hour with gusts up to 30 miles per hour will lead to blowing snow. Lows of 4 to 10 degrees will lead to bitterly cold wind chills which could produce frostbite with prolonged exposure to the cold.
