Winter Storm Warning for Ellsworth Winter Weather Advisory for Bar Harbor – January 2nd
For those wishing for a snowy 2021 you're not going to have to wait long, as we can expect a snowy Saturday, January 2nd.
As of Friday morning, January 1st there was a winter storm warning for Far Eastern, Interior Downeast and Penobscot Valley Maine with the expectations of 6 to 8 inches of snow from 6 am to 7 pm on Saturday, the 2nd.
As you can see, the National Weather Service in Caribou still is uncertain of the rain/snow line along the immediate coast. That's why there is just a Winter Weather Advisory for Bar Harbor for Saturday.
Bar Harbor is expected to have 3-4 inches of snow, but could get more if the rain doesn't turn to snow.
Stay tuned, we will keep you updated. At least it's not going to be ice, as it was 7 years ago back on January 1st 2014
