Mount Desert Elementary School Counselor Tara Mckernan and Behavior Coordinator Andrea Howell created this video, perfect for the younger elementary school students who may not understand why it is important to wear facemasks, and may be a little scared of people in masks!

Speaking in age appropriate language, they explain why they are seeing so many people in facemasks.

From Andrea Howell "We thought it would help parents if our younger kids (kindergarten through 3rd grade) could see that adults wearing cloth masks were not as scary as they might seem. Underneath, we are all just the same regular people! We are fit and healthy, but doing our bit to look after our friends and make sure all of us stay well!"
