WATCH: Ellsworth Webcam Captures Wednesday Night Meteor
Wednesday commuters saw a streak across the southwestern sky and the camera at Harbor Park in Ellsworth caught it on video!
How cool is this? Very.
It happened at exactly 5:31 p.m. The stars could be seen between the clouds, and then for a few instants a burning star streaked from the south to the west across Union River Bay.
Folks posted their observations across Facebook and the City of Ellsworth, Maine, posted this video.
Postings to the American Meteor Society listed fireball reports in the area at that time.
