Volunteers Needed To Help Clean Up Winter Debris At Fort Knox
Fort Knox is open for the season, but the grounds are still in need of cleaning up.
Volunteers are needed to help clean up the grounds at Fort Knox in Prospect for the season. It's been a long winter and the grounds of the historic fort need to be tidied up. Folks are needed to rake, sweep and clean up the debris winter left in its wake. Normally park cleanup day is held in April, prior to opening for the season. Due to restrictions on gatherings last month related to COVID-19, the event was pushed to May.
Volunteers should report to the fort visitor center around 10 a.m. Saturday, May 30. Clean up tools will be provided. However, if you can, bring a rake and gloves from home.
