Van vs. Mother Nature – Bar Island Bad Parking

Memorial Day has come and gone signifying the unofficial start of summer. MDI residents know that the unofficial start of summer is the first vehicle stuck on the Sand Bar leading to Bar Island.

It seems this van had the "pleasure" of being 2024's first casualty.

High Tide was at 6:30 a.m. on June 1. Low Tide was at 12:47 p.m. When I looked at the Salt Air Inn's webcam overlooking the Sand Bar at 12:30 p.m. the van was gone.
