
Two Way Traffic to Resume on Route 3 By Thanksgiving
Great news for all of us that have been traveling Route 3 to Bar Harbor and then having to go through Acadia National Park to get back towards Trenton and Ellsworth via the detour. The Maine Department on Transportation has announced that Route 3 will resume 2 way traffic by Thanksgiving!
Workers will be finishing up by Wednesday, November 21st and plan on completing the following this week, weather permitting
- Shape and loam shoulders from the Acadia National Park entrance to the Bluffs
- Placing new guardrail from the Acadia National Park entrance to the Bluffs
- Installing new road signs along the project
