Trojans Softball Team Falls to Foxcroft Academy 3-0

The MDI Trojans bats were quiet on Thursday, May 9th, as they only managed 3 hits, and they fell to the Foxcroft Academy Ponies 3-0 on Thursday, May 9th in Bar Harbor.

Ruby Brown had a double and Lindsey McEachern and Olivia Gray each had a single for the Trojans.

Lindsey McEachern was the tough luck losing pitcher for the Trojans. She allowed 8 hits, but the 3 runs that the Ponies scored were all unearned as MDI committed 4 errors. McEachern struck out 11 and walked 1.

Cailin Seavey had 2 singles for the Ponies. Karis Dankert had a double and single. Amber Richard, Sheryl Chase,Natalie Robinson and Ava Rayfield each had a single.

Mackenzie Beaudry picked up the win for Foxcroft Academy striking out 10. She didn't walk a batter.

MDI is now 3-5 and will play at Washington Academy on Saturday, May 11 at 12 Noon.

Foxcroft Academy is 5-2 and is scheduled to play host to Nokomis on Friday, May 10 at 4PM
