Trenton 1-Hits Hampden and Wins 3-0 in Senior Legion State Tourney
The Trenton Acadians 1-hit the Hampden Riverdogs and won 3-0 in the State Senior Legion Tourney being held in Augusta on Wednesday, July 26th.
Craig Burnett was on the mound for Trenton, and struck out 5, walking 1. He allowed just the 1 hit and faced 23 batters, pitching the complete game.
David Baugh was 2-3 with a double for Trenton. Miles Palmer was 2-3. Wyatt Bragdon was 2-3 driving in 2 runs.
Peter Keblinsky and Dawson Curtis each had a single for Trenton.
TJ Llerena had Hampden's lone hit, a single in the 4th inning.
Collin Peckham started on the mound for the Riverdogs. He went 5.1 innings allowing 8 hits and 3 runs, striking out 4 and walking 2. Ethan Phelps followed, pitching the final 1.2 innings, holding Trenton hitless, and striking out 1.
Hampden is now 13-5. They play Skowhegan on Thursday, July 27th in Augusta at 1 p.m.
