The Boston Red Sox lost to the Texas Rangers 4-2 on Tuesday, September 15th in Texas.

Patrick Sandoval couldn't get out of the 3rd inning, pitching 2.2 innings as he allowed 4 runs on 4 hits, striking out 5 and walking 2.

Brayan Bello, Alex Gamboa, Wyatt Olds and Jovani Moran combined to shut out the Rangers the rest of the game alowling just 3 hits in 5.1 innings.

Nick Sogard provided Boston's offense hitting a 2-run homer in the top of the 3rd inning. It was his 5th of the season.

Boston struck out 15 times in the game and left 9 runners on base. They were 0-4 with runners in scoring position.
