For the past two plus years, while work has been done on Route 3, there have been traffic lights at the intersection of Route 3 and the Crooked Road (near the Chart Room Restaurant) and then at the intersection of Route 3 and the entrance to Acadia National Park.

With the conclusion of the Route 3 project, no later than Friday, June 21st, a question was asked about the future of those 2 traffic lights. I reached out to the Maine Department of Transportation, who replied that these lights were "temporary" and will be coming down as the detour is removed.

Summer's here, be ready for lots of traffic! Slow down and remember schools are out.
