Route 3 Project to be Finished By Friday June 21st

It's been a long, long 2 years. But finally, the Route 3 Bar Harbor Construction Project is set to be completed by Friday, June 21st! Here's the latest update

The one-way detour will be removed and traffic will resume normal two-way flow by the end of the work day on Friday June 21, 2019

The contractor will be working in the areas stated below this week:

• Painting striping and traffic symbols along the entire length of the project
• Seeding and mulching loamed areas
• Final landscaping near West Street intersection
• Removing construction and detour signage along the project and the Park Loop Road
