October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. If you drive past Ellsworth City Hall at night starting on Tuesday, October 1st and through the end of the month, look up! You'll find it is lit up pink!

Culinary students at Hancock County Technical Center will be making a special pink dessert in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month this Wednesday, October 27th. They'll be working with the Health Occupation students, who will be running the food out to the cars, and also handing out Breast Cancer information with the meals.

During the month of October, businesses are encouraged to have their employees Wear Pink on Fridays in exchange for a donation to the Beth C. Wright Cancer Survivor Scholarship Program. Individuals can also participate!

For the month of October, the Baileyville Police Department will be wearing Pink Police Badges. A small gesture that means so much to those who have fought, or who are fighting breast cancer. And let's face it, we all know someone, who has battled or is battling this disease.
