Suspect Arrested in Bucksport Shooting

A suspect has been arrested in connection with a shooting that sent a man to the hospital.

Craig A. Woodard, age 29 of Bucksport was arrested at his home on Saturday and charged with elevated aggravated assault. He was taken to the Hancock County Jail in connection with a shooting earlier in the week.

Bucksport Police were called to a Dalton Lane home where a resident said there was an altercation in front of his house. He said a vehicle was parked at the end of the driveway and the occupants were involved in an argument with another adult male that lives at the address. While officers were on their way to the home, they got another call reporting that shots had been fired and that the vehicle left the scene, traveling north towards Orrington.

Police caught up to the vehicle and found a man who had been shot. He was taken to a Bangor hospital, where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries, and later released.
