The top seeded Sumner High School Boys Soccer Team beat the 8th seeded Houlton Shiretowners 3-1 in East Sullivan on Wednesday, October 30th to advance to the semifinals of Class C North.

Silas Goldfarb had 2 goals and an assist for the Tigers while Damon Warren had the other goal with Caelan Billings the assist.

For Houlton Keegan Gentle found the back of the net, with an assist to Cody Johnston.

Alex Rummil had 7 saves on 10 shots in goal for Sumner, while Houlton goalie Drew Foley had 17 saves on 26 shots.

Sumner will play the 4th seeded GSA Eagles in the semifinals after they beat Washington Academy 2-1 in overtime in the quarterfinals. The game is tentatively scheduled to be played on Friday, November 1st
