Summer Traffic Put in Perspective
We all get frustrated with the traffic on Mount Desert Island and Ellsworth as it seems like the entire world is traveling to the Island and through Ellsworth. Parking is at a premium and it's harder to shop, go to the drug store etc. because of all the "people from away". After a member of the I Love Bar Harbor Maine Facebook Group wrote about her son passing away, Toby Alley wrote this. It really puts the summer traffic in perspective. With her permission I'm sharing her post.
Laura Mathews lost her son. Our condolences go to her and her family. Here's what she wrote
"Two days ago my son Neil passed away in his sleep, he was 11. We had just returned from our annual trip to his favorite place Bar Harbor. He wore his black hat all week while hiking in Acadia. So I kindly ask, if and when any of the members next go there, that they give a little thought to the skies, because our little group member is in heaven now. Thank you."
