On Saturday June 8th you're invited to an Open House and Kitten Shower at the SPCA of Hancock County from Noon to 4.

There's no charge to attend but guests are asked to bring along kitten supplies or make a monetary donation to help offset the cost of the kittens' medical care. Needed donations include wet canned kitten food, dry kitten food, snuggle safes, small pet blankets and low-entry litter boxes. Monetary donations will help support the 30 plus kittens being spayed/neutered, vaccinated and treated for fleas, ticks and worms.

Since May 1 the shelter's animal care team has taken in 13 mother cats with kittens. The SPCA has taken in over 75 cats and kittens in just 1 month.

Participants will be able to meet and greet the kittens and cats available for adoption as well as take part in the festivities of the open house, including snacks, raffles and more.

If you are interested in adopting a kitten you can fill out an application here, prior to the Open House.
