Southwest Harbor-Tremont Memorial Day Parade

The Acadia Chamber is organizing a Memorial Day Parade that will take place in Southwest Harbor on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26th.

The Day's events include

8 a.m. - Memorial Mile - A family fun run/walk that will take place at the Pemetic School in Southwest Harbor.
8:30 a.m. - Kids Bike Decorating for parade at Seal Cove Plaza (Parents must supervise children under 10 years old)
9:00 a.m. - Norwood Square Ceremony
9:10 a.m. -Parade Starts
9:30 a.m. - Village Green Ceremony
10:00 a.m. Kids Bike Safety Check at the Southwest Harbor Police Department

If there are any Veterans that would like to be in the Parade they are are encouraged to call the Chamber at 244-9264.

Remember Memorial Day is more than the 'unofficial start" to summer and a day off from school or work. It's a Day to Honor those who paid the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our country!
