Halloween 2010 was no treat and I thought Mother Nature planned a trick on us with snow!

I remember taking my children around trick or treating in snow, more times than I care to count. It seems like winter and snow arrives earlier and earlier each year, although as I write this, there are 87 days before winter officially arrives.

The mornings are cooler and cooler, and I have broken down and started lighting the pellet stove at night. When I look at the Farmer's Almanac, it says Bangor, Maine will be snow-free through the end of October.

November ... Now that's a different story!

"November 1-4 Rain and Snow Showers, Chilly. November 7-15 Snowy periods, cold. November 18-25 Snow, then flurries, very cold."

That's good news for hunters, and snow enthusiasts, for the rest of us UGH!

So I want to ask you today
