According to the Mount Desert Island Search and Rescue Facebook Page, members were toned out early Saturday morning, June 20th around sunrise to a a multi-agency callout for a technical rescue at the Cooksey Drive Overlook

Working in cooperation with Acadia National Park Rangers and the Mount Desert Fire Department, MDISAR members raised the fallen hiker approximately 30 feet up the cliff face and then carried him in a litter up the trail to the parking area, where an ambulance  was waiting to provide medical care and transport.
