Representation of the Class B North Regional Girls Cross Country Trophy [VIDEO]

After the error was discovered in the scoring of the Class B North Regional Girls Cross Country Meet, MDI Athletic Director Bunky Dow went to Ellsworth High School to present the Class B North Regional Championship plaque to Josh Frost, the Athletic Director at Ellsworth High School.

Dow and Frost joined WDEA's Chris Popper to talk about the process on Monday, once the error had been detected.  Although difficult, they talked about this being a teaching moment. Dow, representing the Maine Principal's Association presented Ellsworth High School with the 1st place plaque, and Ellsworth's Josh Frost handed MDI the runner-up plaque.

Both schools will compete in the State Meet this Saturday, October 27, with the Girls running at 1:15 at the Troy Howard Middle School in Belfast.  Both the Ellsworth and MDI Boys Teams will be competing for the Class B State Title that day as well.
