Remember Saturday Morning Cartoons?

I saw that Alvin and the Chipmunks made their TV debut October 14, 1961 and it got me thinking about Saturday morning cartoons. Back in the 1960's, and 70's the big three networks, CBS, NBC and ABC used to turn their Saturday mornings over to cartoons, until 12 noon.  Of course that was the time before all the cable channels, and if you were a kid, it was heaven!

I still remember the Bugs Bunny show used to come on at 8AM. I knew their theme song by heart and could sing a long!
