The Boston Red Sox won for the 1st time since Opening Day, beating Baltimore 3-0 on Wednesday as Garrett Crochet threw 8 innings of 4-hit baseball and Rafael Devers finally got his first hit of the season, driving in a run.

Crochet, who just agreed to a 6-year, 170 million contract, was brilliant throwing 8 innings of 4-hit baseball. He struck out 8 and walked 1 to pick up his 1st win as a Red Sox, and is now 1-0.

Aroldis Chapman picked up his 1st save as a Red Sox, pitching the 9th, walking 1 and striking out 1.

Rafael Devers broke a 0-21 slump, with 2 hits including a RBI double. He ended up 2-4, and didn't strike out.

Trevor Story was 3-4, with his 1st homer of the season in the 2nd inning to give Boston a 1-0 lead.

Kristian Campbell who signed a 8-year, 60 million contract on Wednesday morning, continued to hit, going 2-4 with a pair of doubles.

Cedanne Rafaela was 1-3 with a run batted in..

Tristan Casas (1-4) and Connor Wong (0-3) continued their early-season woes at the plate with Casas batting .231 and Wong hitting .053.
