The 1st place Boston Red Sox (5-2) take on the Baltimore Orioles (3-4) tonight at Fenway Park, after both teams had an off day yesterday, Tuesday. The first pitch is at 7:05 with the pregame starting at 6:20 on WDEA AM 1370.

The Red Sox will send righty Ryan Dempster to the mound. Dempster is making his first home start at Fenway, and is 0-1 on the season, losing to the Yankees in his 1st start of the season. Dempster gave up five hits and three runs over five innings, throwing 101 pitches and has a ERA of 5.40. The Orioles will counter with righty Jake Arrieta who had a no decision in his first start last Friday. He lasted five-plus innings and surrendered five earned runs on seven hits and two walks, and struck out five and has a ERA of 9.00.

With Monday's victory, the Red Sox have won their last nine home openers, the longest home-opening win streak in club history and the longest active streak among all Major League teams.

The Red Sox are expected to activate Stephen Drew from the 7 day disabled list after suffering from post concussion like symptoms. It is expected that the Red Sox will send Jose Iglesias to Pawtucket (Triple A) to play every day rather than sitting on the bench. Iglesias is hitting .450 going 9-20 playing 6 games this season. He has 2 doubles and has knocked in 1 run.

The Red Sox have not committed an error in their first seven games of the season!
