The Boston Red Sox earned their 2nd walk-off win of the season, beating the Tampa Bay Rays 5-4 in 12 innings on Tuesday, May 14th. The win snapped a 6-game losing streak to the Rays dating back to June 3rd of last year.

Romy Gonzalez knocked in the game-winning run in the 12th inning. It was his 1st career walk-off.

Ceddanne Rafaela hit his 4th homer of the season in the 5th inning. He leads the team with 23 runs batted in and has now hit safely in12 of his last 15 games.

Rob Refsnyder was 1-1 with a pinch-hit single in the 8th inning and his groundout in the 11th inning tied the score at 4-4.

Rafael Devers was 1-5 singling and scoring in the 4th inning. He now has hit iin 16 of his last 18 games.

Nick Pivetta started for the Red ox and went 5.2 innings, allowing 4 hits and 2 runs, striking out 8.

Chris Martin had a scary moment in the the 8th inning, with an inning-ending catch.

Brennan Bernadino picked up the win in relief pitching the 12th inning and is now 2-1 on the season.

The Red Sox and Rays play game 3 of the 4 game series Wednesday night, with the pregame starting at 6:10 p.m. and 1st pitch at 7:10 p.m. on AM 1370 WDEA.
