Open Table MDI to Open Friday and Saturday February 3rd and 4th as Warming Center

With the dangerously cold temperatures expected on Friday and Saturday, February 2nd and 3rd, Open Table MDI, located at 116 Cottage Street in Bar Harbor will open as a Warming Center from 9 a.m to 6 pm. each day.

They will have coffee, hot cocoa and tea available. Plus, it's a great opportunity for a little socializing! Bring your electronic charging cords so you can make sure to stay connected.

According to the National Weather Service in Caribou, the MININUM wind chills in Downeast Maine Saturday morning will be 42 BELOW Zero which is dangerously cold!

In Ellsworth, the INSPIRE Recovery Center at 24 Church Street operates as a Warming Center and is open every evening, including holidays, through April 30, 2023, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., to individuals and families who are unhoused, or who are in need of warmth and safety, in Hancock and Washington counties, as space allows. Coffee, drinks, and snacks are available throughout the night, and a hot meal is served daily at 7:30 p.m. They will also be open this weekend and every weekend, Saturday and Sunday, through the end of February 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
