In late summer of 2025 the Do Good Group a purpose-driven organization purchased Oli's Trolleys in Bar Harbor. They are living up to their name, with their $10,000 donations to Food Pantries in Bar Harbor, MDI and South Portland and their matching challenge for December.

This morning WDEA's Chris Popper spoke with Lizz Sturm, the CEO of Oli's Trolley to talk about their November donation of $3000 to the Bar Harbor Food Pantry and South Portland Food Cupboard and $4000 to the MDI Backpack Program. They then announced that they are prepared to make matching donations in the same amount to these 3 organizations in December!

In a press release Lizz said

“I’ve grown up in Maine and come from a family of teachers, so I’ve seen first-hand the impact of food insecurity in our communities’ schools,” said Ms. Sturm. “When considering where to reinvest some of Oli’s Trolley’s profits, I knew just where the funds should go. Many of MDI’s amazing teachers, staff and administrators use their own money to have food items on hand for children who come to school hungry, which is why we made our largest donation to the MDI Backpack Program. I know my local business colleagues share my commitment to this great community and will do what they can to give a bit more as we navigate these difficult times.”
