The MDI Boys Soccer Team beat the Caribou Vikings in Bar Harbor on Saturday, October 3rd, winning 4-2 while the Girls team lost to Caribou 4-0 

In the Boys Game Isaac Ellis scored a hat-trick, netting 3 goals. Owen Dwyer had the other goal for MDI. Jack Mourino, Grayson Smith and Henri Hansen each had an assist. 

MDI is now 3-6-1. They will travel to Blue Hill to play the GSA Eagles on Wednesday, October 7th at 4 p.m.  

Caribou is 1-5-2. They will host John Bapst on Monday, October 5th at 6 p.m.  

In the Girls Game, MDI was shutout 4-0. 

Caribou is now 1-7. They will host the John Bapst Crusaders on Monday, October 5th at 4 p.m.  

The MDI Girls are 3-5-1. They will travel to Dover-Foxcroft to play the Ponies on Monday, October 5th at 4 p.m.

In Downeast Maine, there is the Hammond Lumber-WDEA Downeast High School Athlete of the Week, for schools in Hancock and Washington County. You can nominate someone for games/matches played during the week September 28th - October 3rd. Please send your nominee to Chris Popper including the student's name, high school, sport and why they should be nominated by Sunday, October 4th Voting will take place Monday October 5th thru Thursday October 8th at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced on Friday, October 9th.
