Northern Light to Start Administering COVID Vaccines at Old Family Dollar Store on 175 High Street in Ellsworth

Northern Light Maine Coast and Blue Hill Hospitals are offering a joint program to begin administering COVID vaccines at the former Family Dollar Store location at 175 High Street in Ellsworth. This  location is in the Ellsworth Shopping Plaza near Shaw's and Reny's.

If you need assistance scheduling your COVID-19 vaccine or have limited internet access, please call (207) 204-8551. Currently new appointments are added every Monday and Wednesday at 2 p.m. You can register online HERE

The hope is that this new Vaccination Clinic will begin administering vaccines on April 1st. Joe Gaetano, the Vice President of Operations shared “This larger, convenient space will allow us to administer more vaccine to our communities as it becomes available.  The Maine CDC has announced that vaccine access will quickly expand to more Mainers in the coming months, and Maine Coast and Blue Hill Hospitals want to be ready. We aim to administer between 500-750 vaccinations per day, once fully operational.”

The current vaccine clinic on site at Maine Coast Hospital will close once the new site launches, however Blue Hill Hospital’s small site within the hospital will remain open for now.
