No Anticipated Increases in Bar Harbor Sewer or Water Rates

Here's some great news for Bar Harbor residents and businesses! The proposed Bar Harbor 2019 Fiscal Year Sewer and Water Rates will see no increase

The sewer rate is proposed to be $7.80 per 100 cubic foot, which is adopted, would mean that the sewer rate has held steady since 2016 when the combined operation and capital rate went into effect.

The 2019 Fiscal Year Water Budget calls for no increase for the 3rd year in a row. This is being done with gross capital expenditures of $206,000 without any bonding. It is also worth noting that there were NO instances of water quality violations to the Federal Safe Drinking Water Act in calendar year 2017.
