The MDI Trojans return to the Football State Championship Game for the 1st time since 2016, this time in the 8-Man Large School Division. They will play the Greely Rangers, the Southern Maine Champions on Saturday, November 11th at 11 a.m..

The game is being played at Cameron Stadium in Bangor, which has been recently renovated and has an artificial turf. Cameron Stadium is located behind the William S. Cohen School, located at 304 Garland Street in Bangor.

There is lots of parking at the school in the parking lot, on Garland Street and up on top of the other side of the field on Mount Hope Avenue.

Tickets are available in advance online, by clicking HERE. Tickets are $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for students and seniors. There is a small handling/service fee added to the tickets. ALL TICKETS must be purchased ONLINE. You can purchase tickets onsite, but must do so with a credit card. Cash payments are NOT accepted. You will show the tickets on your phone.

The game will be broadcast on WDEA AM 1370, on WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device, with the pregame starting at 10:30 a.m.

On Thursday, I had the opportunity to talk with Mark Shields, the MDI Head Football Coach for our weekly Coach's Show. Coach Shields talked about the win against Camden Hills in the Northern Maine Championship Game, who he awarded the game ball to, and getting ready for the Greely Rangers.
