MDI Volleyball Sweeps WA 3-0

The MDI Volleyball Team traveled to East Machias Wednesday afternoon, October 8th and beat Washington Academy in straight sets, 25-14, 25-21, 25-23.

One of our goals coming in against Washington Academy was to start out strong in the first set.  I think we accomplished that goal tonight.  The girls came out firing, took an early lead, and never looked back.  The defense was running smoothly and the offense looked good.  We relaxed a bit in the second two sets but finished strong to get the win.  We were missing some personnel tonight but everyone stepped up to play their part and contribute to the victory.  We're looking forward to Ellsworth next week!

The Trojans are now 10-1 on the season, and will play Ellsworth on Tuesday, October 14th in Bar Harbor at 5:30 PM. Ellsworth enters the contest with a record of 5-5. Washington Academy falls to 8-4 and will host Jonesport-Beals on Tuesday, October 14th at 5 PM.
