MDI Trojans vs. Waterville Panthers for Northern Maine Class 8-Man Large School Championship [VIDEO and LISTEN LIVE]

Tonight the MDI Trojans take on the Waterville Panthers for the Northern Maine 8-Man Large School Championship. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. at Alumni Field at MDI High School.

The game will be broadcast on AM 1370, on our free downloadable APP, online on WDEA Internet Radio and on any Alexa enabled device beginning at 6:40 p.m. with the pregame show.

The game will also be livestreamed on the MDI High School You Tube Channel. Don't click on any other links. Those channels will NOT broadcast the game and are just trying to steal personal information from you.

Prior to the game, there will be a FREE community tailgate party from 4 to 6 p.m in the back parking lot, near the tennis courts.

Thursday afternoon  MDI Football Coach Mark Shields joined WDEA's Chris Popper for the Coach's show. They talked a bit about the incident at the High School on Tuesday, the practice on Wednesday, and how the team was preparing to play Waterville on Friday night. They also spoke about the team's history against Waterville since going to 8-man football. They also talked about the tailgate party Friday afternoon for the community and the hopes that there would be a huge crowd to cheer on the team in the 8-man Large School Northern Maine Championship game!
