MDI Softball Falls to Hermon 5-4 in Bar Harbor

The MDI Softball Team was leading 4-3 going into the top of the 7th inning, before Hermon scored 2 runs, to nip MDI 5-4 on Tuesday, April 30th in Bar Harbor.

Liindsey McEachern was the tough luck losing pitcher for MDI, throwing a complete game, allowing 5 hits, 5 runs, 3 of which were earned. She struck out 8 and walked 3.

Bre Oakes was the winning pitcher for Hermon. She allowed 8 hits and 4 runs, all earned. She struck out 11 and walked 5.

Both pitchers helped themselves at the plate. McEachern was 3-4 with a double for MDI. Oakes was 2-4 with a triple and a stolen base.

For MDI Lily Cook was 2-4 with a double. Hannah Hanscom was 2-3. Olivia Gray had a double.

For Hermon Rachael Balmas was 2-3 with a double. Megan Chamberlain had a single.

MDI is now 2-2 and will play host to Washington Academy on Thursday, May 1st at 4:30
