MDI Golf Qualifies For States

The MDI Golf Team qualified for the State Championships at Natanis Golf Course in Vasselboro on Saturday, October 7th thanks to their 2nd place finsh at JaTo Highlands Golf Course on Thursday, September 28th.

Old Town also qualified finishing 1st in the PVC Class B with a 352. MDI finished 2nd with 362. Hermon finished 3rd with a 364, Ellsworth 4th with 423, John Bapst finished 5th with 425 and Foxcroft Academy finished 6th with 472. The top 2 teams qualified.

Gabbie James was named the PVC Class B Female Golfer of the Year!

Kyle Nicholson finished with a 78 and finished 3rd overall, and 2nd in the PVC behind Logan Thomson of Mattanawcook who finished with an even par 72. Chris Kaupula from Old Town finished 2nd with a 77.

Brennan Hubbard finished 3rd in the PVC and 4th overall with a 82. Nick Stanley carded a 97, Gabbie James a 105 and Dane Vanzura a 125.

Nicholson and Brennan also qualified for the State Individual Championships which will be played also at Natanis on Saturday October 14th.
