MDI Girls Tennis Beats GSA 5-0, Boys Split with Eagles 2-2-1

It was a beautiful afternoon to begin the 2021 tennis season on Wednesday, April 14th as the Trojan Tennis Teams hosted George Stevens Academy in a preseason match. The Trojan Girls swept GSA 5-0 while the Boys split with GSA 2-2-1. Here are the match results.

The individual matches were 1 set, to 6.  Here are the results

• Girls #1 singles Lelia Weir won 6-3
• Girls #2 singles Taber Allen won 6-1
• Girls #3 singles Austria Morehouse won 6-3
• Girls #1 doubles Addy Smith/Avonlea Brown won 6-0
• Girls #2 doubles Olivia Chandler/Jane Pope won 6-0
• Boys #1 singles Westy Granholm won 6-2
• Boys #2 singles Finn Seyffer tied 6-6
• Boys #3 singles Jameson Weir lost 0-6
• Boys #1 doubles Whit Chaplin/Moses Lincoln lost 2-6
• Boys #2 doubles Jack Hodgdon/Marshall Reiff won 7-5

The MDI Boys and Girls Tennis Teams are back on the court next Tuesday, April 20th at 2 p.m. at Hermon against the Hawks in another preseason match
