The MDI Girls Soccer Team took the long drive up to Presque Isle on Saturday, September 7th to play the Wildcats. The game was played in steady rain and "fallish" with a chill in the air. The Trojans defeated the Wildcats 3-0

Zoe Olson put MDI on the scoreboard at the 31:50 mark with a 1 touch rebound off of Daily Granholm's shot.

The Trojans led 1-0 at the end of the 1st Half.

Granholm extended MDI's lead to 2-0 with Lelia Weir's assist with 23:31 remaining in the contest.

Granholm scored MDI's final goal, and her second of the game, as Weir assisted, her second of the game. The goal came with 17:59 remaining in the game.

Sabine Costello-Sanders was in goal for MDI and recorded the shut out.

MDI starts the year 1-0 and will play host to Hermon on Monday, September 9th at 6PM.

Presque Isle, is 0-1 and the Wildcats will play at Caribou on Tuesday, September 10th at 7PM.
