Ellsworth Girls Soccer Wins 2nd Exhibition in 2 Days – Beat Nokomis 9-0
The Ellsworth Girls Soccer Team won their 2nd preseason exhibition scrimmage in as many days, defeating the Nokomis Warriors 9-0 at Del Luce Stadium in Ellsworth on a very hot, Thursday afternoon, August 25th.
It was 7-0 at the end of the 1st Half with Addi Laslie tallying a hat trick and Paige Sawyer scoring twice. Scoring summary was
- 5 minutes - Addi Laslie goal, Abby Bland assist
- 6 mintues - Tori Watkins goal, Addi Laslie assit
- 8 minutes - Paige Sawyer goal, Addi Laslie assist
- 10 minutes - Paige Sawyer goal, Addi Laslie assist
- 12 minutes - Addi Laslie goal unassisted
- 14 minutes - Emily Hagarman goal, Jordan Berry assist
- 29 minutes - Addi Laslie goal, Abby Bland assist
Because of the heat and score, the 2nd half was limited to 20 minutes. Morgan Clifford scored with 17 minutes elapsed with an assist from Jordan Berry, and then with 1 minute remaining an own goal was scored.
The Ellsworth girls will have a play date at Hampden Academy on Saturday, August 28th and then a final tune up with Sumner at home on Tuesday August 31st at 5:30 p.m. The Eagles open the 2021 Regular Season at home on Saturday, September 4th against the Caribou Vikings at 1 p.m.
